International worker mobility

International worker mobility

Within a modern economy developed on a global scale, companies are increasingly expanding towards foreign markets, thus generating greater mobility of workers at an international level.

Cross-border employment is in fact a highly topical issue and has become central for companies, as the management of expatriate staff and foreign workers in Italy has become a necessity for companies’ internationalisation strategies.

HR Capital offers a professional advisory service for the management of internationally mobile workers, a very complex issue for human resources.

Through our multidisciplinary team of experts, we offer contractual, social security and tax assistance to Clients on workers’ international labour mobility. We support them in expatriation or foreign or non-EU personnel secondment from abroad to Italy.

We assist companies in every single phase, from strategic planning identifying the best management solutions to meet administrative requirements to applying for visas and permits for expatriation.

In addition, we offer assistance in the preparation of the expatriate worker’s pay slip and ensure that the expatriate worker complies with the procedures for moving abroad.

Our experts specifically advise on the following:

  • new regulations on EU and non-EU mobility;
  • requests for certifications of transfers/secondments abroad in EU countries, A1 and PD DA1, from the Italian National Social Security Institute (Istituto nazionale della previdenza sociale, ‘INPS’) and the Italian National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work (Istituto Nazionale Assicurazione contro gli Infortuni sul Lavoro, ‘INAIL’);
  • drafting of the transfer notice or letter of posting;
  • social security and tax management of the seconded worker in EU or non-EU countries, both those covered by international agreements and not;
  • assistance in the management, hiring/termination of non-EU workers;
  • analysis of the type of entry visa for work purposes for the requested case;
  • management of the procedure for the entry of the non-EU worker into Italy and back office with the competent public offices for obtaining the authorisation and the entry visa;
  • assistance at the Immigration Desk (Sportello Unico) to obtain a residence permit.
